Virtual Beings is based in France and was founded by Wendelin Reich, a former researcher in social psychology and computer scientist at Stanford, with a special expertise in game AI and over 10 years of gamedev experience in VR, AR and Mobile. The innovative artificial behavior engine Rascal created by him over a decade is the tech foundation for our production of virtual creatures.
More and more people today seek empathy and connectedness by becoming pet owners, yet an ever-increasing share is unable to take good care of their pets because they're busy or allergic. At the same time, more and more organizations are entering into the "metaverse" where believable & interactive virtual lives are becoming a necessity and need to grow fast. We're addressing these "problems" by making virtual creatures that feel alive for clients across platforms.
We are a tech driven company with an ambition to revolutionize virtual pets. Tender Paws: A Home For Cats, is our initial proof of concept. While our tech can be applied on all platforms, it is especially well-suited for XR.
